Good Things Come Back

Sunday, October 29th, 2006

I was feeling a little pain inside my heart but I guess God loves me that He makes way to cheer me up.

I am not really superstitious but if a particular belief is not harmful I go with the flow. Our friend Jacque has a daughter named Coleen. They say if you want your baby to be like somebody, that somebody should give the first hair cut. (I’ll marry an emperor and I’ll let my hubby give the first hair cut wehihihi.) Well, I’m not sure what did Jacque see in me, okay she said I’m bright (^_^) and today we received a SMS from her, she said Coleen knows so much such as:

  • she can count 1 to 10 (in ten languages hahahaha joke 1)
  • she can recite the alphabet (including backwards hahahaha joke 2)
  • she can spell the words dog, cat, boy, egg, and her name Coleen (I like the part where she can spell her name… that’s really cute.)
  • she can do the sign of the cross (hmmmm influence of a Holy Girl)
  • she can understand and speak some English words

The catch, she’s not even 3 years old. Well, I’m not sure if the above mentioned abilities were truly amazing but what really amazes me is my friend’s love for her child and how truly proud she is. Mind is also powerful, maybe Jacque believe it so much that her baby will be as bright or can be brighter than me, then it’ll happen especially with the support she’s giving her.

Business Game

Monday, October 23rd, 2006

If I’m filthy rich, I’ll help people to become independent and rich like me, I will learn to speak Italian and have a carefree life in Tuscany. (^_^) Hahahaha funny, I’ll be a Chinese looking lass who speaks Italian.

I was really excited to play the Cashflow by Robert Kiyosaki at AIM last Sunday (October 22, 2006) for the second time around. The first time I attended the game I wasn’t really feeling well and since I committed to go I showed up to the person who invited me. No regrets about going there twice because on both times I learned so much; though I was really excited for the 2nd time since I was able to get out of the rat race. It was an amazing feeling!

Aside from getting out of the rat race which made me really happy, I admired Jerome who gave small talks before, after, and in between games. He’s very smooth, witty, confident, and here were some of the nice words I learned (the first and last entries were my favorites):

  1. In real life, we only need to get out of the rat race ONCE! I’m excited to get out then! (^_^)
  2. Businessmen are problem solvers. Each product that we see gives solution to a problem, so start a business that solves a problem.
  3. Businessmen encounter challenges along the way, but once they’ve overcome the biggest hindrance in making their business successful, they’ll be assured that they’ve found the foundation. Ex. If Henry Sy lost everything he owns right now like the malls he built, give him another 5 to 10 years and he’ll be able to bring everything back because he got the foundation, he got the formula on how to make things work.
  4. Ladder in becoming rich: (a) start building businesses, (b) get into real estate - why do you think Lex Luthor in the latest Superman Returns movie wants to create new crystal lands… quite a businessman there huh, (c) start buying paper assets.
  5. Decide and then Think!
  6. To get ahead of the game in the Information Age, businesses should be able to adapt to change quickly and maximize the vast and rich information available.
  7. What sets a big business from a small business is the existence of the system. I like Jerome’s explanation about the existence of a system; a business will survive even if the owner leaves it for a month or year.
  8. Make sure that your Passive Income must be greater than your Expenses. Passive Income comes from Interest, Businesses, Dividends, Real Estate, etc.)
  9. How do you define an asset from a liability? A real asset gives you income even if you’re not working; while a liability is simply allowing cash out.
  10. Be careful on what you feed your mind.

Choices

Friday, October 20th, 2006

Everyday we make our choices… Our choices are usually dependent on our well-thought perception, listening from other’s opinion, spur of the moment emotion, or according to our best judgment it’s what the current circumstance need. Bottom line, our choice defines who we are, what we believe, what we want to feel, or what we hope we don’t feel. Before we start or end our day, let us think about the available choices and ask ourselves what should we do? Let us be brave to try new things. Sometimes we’re too drawn about our previous experience that we start to trap ourselves with the same routine, the same action, hence we get the same result. Wise men said that we have two goals in this life and those are to be happy and successful, so that should be our guide, we decide and make sure that the end result is composed of happiness and success. If in case the result also comes with a pain acknowledge it and learn from it.

I’m not sure if I’m in love with a man who I believe doesn’t see me. One of my friends is in so much pain because of losing something she loves so much. I see good love stories but I am trying to comprehend why love comes with pain making us choose to be sad when there are so many reasons why we should be happy. Then I found Mother Teresa’s words, "I have found the paradox, that if you love until it hurts, there can be no more hurt, only more love." To all the people who feel pain because of love, let us see pain as the grueling process which the grapes go through when they were grinded and squeezed to produce the most delicious wine at the right time.

Fearless

Sunday, October 15th, 2006

I watched the film "Huo Yuan Jia: Fearless" starring Jet Li yesterday on DVD and I love several thoughts:

  1. It takes a real master to understand what winning really means. It doesn’t matter if you’re not the last man standing, but you’ve fought for more than just revenge and becoming the number 1 fighter.
  2. Cry when you are sad. When tears are gone, life will move on.
  3. All tea are the same because they all came from nature; it’s human who gives categories, because human has different taste.

Marriage

Saturday, October 7th, 2006

Ideally marriage is a union between two people who love one another and can’t live without waking up everyday of their life not seeing that one person who made their heart really happy even with just one smile, one stare, one sweet nothing word…

Mama was online last night and I was kidding her about marriage but when I noticed her tears I immediately told her I got no plans, not now, maybe when I turned 29 or 30… then she said, why not my sisters and I get married all at the same time, does that mean SUKOB three times (^_^) waaahhh scary!
